This policy explains the cookies and similar storage used on fosterhousestudios.com. We keep this to an absolute minimum — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no profiling.

These are strictly necessary / functional and do not track you across other websites.
2. Analytics — cookieless
We measure basic, aggregate usage (page views, which beats get previewed, etc.) with a first-party, cookieless method: we set no analytics cookie, and instead of storing your IP address we store a salted one-way hash of it — which cannot be reversed to identify you — purely to count unique visits. This is privacy-by-design (the "Plausible" model) and builds no profile of you. If you click Decline on the banner, we stop this analytics for your visit entirely.
3. Third-party media (YouTube · SoundCloud · Spotify)
Players on the Archive and Film pages load only when you click them. Until then, nothing is requested from those providers and they set no cookies. Once you load a player, that provider may set its own cookies under its own policy:

4. How to control cookies
- Use the Decline analytics button on our cookie banner to opt out of the cookieless analytics.
- Your browser can block or delete cookies at any time (see its privacy settings). Blocking the essential ones may mean the newsletter invite reappears or your banner choice isn't remembered.
